As always, Bud's was great. The CZ P-09 .40 is awesome. Well balanced with everything you need and nothing you don't. Recoil was a bit more sharp than my M&P40C but it was all directed into the web of my thumb and index finger. In other words recoil is very straight back into the hand where there is support. Not as much muzzle flip. No failures in first 25 rounds (it was cold out and I was giving my son more time on the .22)
Action was real stiff out of the box, but smoothed out a bit with some dry fire practice and dry-racking (is that a thing?) even before I took it to the range.
The trigger feels a bit more sluggish in DA than the older P-07 Duty I was dry firing in a local store. However, SA is the same on every one I've tested and it is a crisp clean break.
Barrel lockup is real tight. I think better than my M&P.
The gun is big. If I wanted I could appendix carry with some minor adjustments in everyday movement, but its not fun. I prefer to carry my S&W 642 as I don't feel it there and I can still tie my shoes.
Gun came packed with some thick grease that I cleaned up and replaced with good oil.
I picked this up for $380 and would still love it if I paid $500.
You won't regret this purchase.
