THESE REALLY ARE THE BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY. WHILE THEY MAY NOT HAVE THE BRAND NAME MANY LOOK FOR, THEY DO HAVE A FIT AND FINISH RIVALED BY ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST! THE FIREARM IS TIGHT AND THE SLIDE AND ACTIONS ARE CLEAN AND SMOOTH, WITH NO GRIT. WHEN I RECEIVED MINE I GAVE IT A GOOD CLEANING AND THEN POLISHED THE FEED RAMP AND AWAY I WENT. ONLY 3 FAILURES OUT OF 200 ROUNDS ON THE FIRST TRIP; NOT TOO BAD! THIS FIREARM RUNS WITH THE BEST OF THEM AND DON'T LET PEOPLE WITH THE NAME BRANDS TELL YOU OTHERWISE. AS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS FIREARMS YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS PURCHASE! AS USUAL BUD'S WAS THE CONSTANT PROFESSIONAL. SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE AND SHIPPING WAS FREE!!!! HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?

I've had this gun since right after Thanksgiving. Did a lil work on it mainly being the recoil spring replaced with a Wolf spring. This was an excellent purchase. Shot dead on at 7-8 yards out of the box after I cleaned it. Purchased a couple of Wilson Combat Mags for it since i got it. No real complaints at all. Great service by Buds. Good looking entry level 1911.

Love this gun! I did a lot of research before purchasing so I knew what some of the pros and cons were. Make sure you give this a real good cleaning before taking it to the range. I cleaned it pretty good before shooting it and the slide needed assistance on about 50% of the rounds within the first two mags. Took her home and cleaned her for about 30 minutes and got here really clean. Took it out again and didn't have to assist the slide at all! This is a great shooter! I will purchase some Mec Gar mags in the near future. This was also the first time I bought online through BudsGunShop. Great experience and will buy from again!

Got it home, field stripped, cleaned, oiled and reassembled. Took it to the range, within 25 rounds the tip of the ejector broke off causing constant FTF's and FTE's, the guide rod started to become loose and was obviously under powered. All in all, I would never advise anyone to purchase a Titan. Ammo was regular off the shelf federal .45. $400, over a week wait, an hour drive to the range, and within 25 rounds and I have a paper weight. ATI, as well as Iver Johnson are the same company, any of there 3 inch "Titan" or "Thrashers" are junk, same gun, slightly different guide rods. AVOID THIS GUN!

First off, I'd like to say Buds service and shipping was excellent as always. Arrived in under a week to my FFL, with lots of email updates along the way. Five star service as usual.
Now to the gun itself. These are on clearance and probably for good reason. They have at least one known issue that ATI hasn't fixed. That being said, if you are looking for a compact 1911 cheap and can do some minor work, this is still a good deal. Think diamond in the rough. The biggest problem these have is a recoil assembly that simply isn't up to the task, including the rear plate on the guide rod, and reverse plugs that crack. Do some online research. The easy fix is a Kimber recoil assembly part number 4000465 at around 50 bucks. Only minor mod to the rim of the reverse plug and it drops in. I had one of these guns when they came out and had both failures in under 250 rounds shooting factory 230 ball ammo.
This fun as I received it was in good condition but had the usual sticky shipping oil in it. Full strip, clean and lube showed no real glaring issues. The trigger was quite heavy and will be revisited. It was tight and well machined for the price point. I lubed it quite a bit and cycled the action and trigger several hundred times. Noted some high spot wear but it did smooth up. Re cleaned and lubed. I fired 75 rounds of 230 ball factory ammo in the included magazine and original recoil assembly. Had no failures to feed, fire, or eject and it shot point of aim pretty well. The extractor needs tuned as like many have stated, it likes to throw brass back at with some regularity. Disassembled and saw no weird wear. With the exception of the recoil assembly is already peening and distorting. And this is their upgraded model. Received my Kimber recoil assembly and installed it. Shot another 100 trouble free rounds with less recoil thanks to the stronger recoil assembly. With a bit of tinkering you can still have a nice weapon for well under 500 bucks. What's not to like? Although I wouldn't buy one and use it as a carry weapon out of the box.
