Gun was just what I ordered. Never had any issues with anything through Buds .

Great revolver for the price. I have shot hundreds of rounds and have had no problems. I did change out the grips because I do not like the checkered grips. I shoot a lot and the checker grips make my hands sore so you may want to purchase custom grip for yours. It shoots really well and is on target most of the time however I do get some stragglers every now and then but that could be the ammo. This was the first gun I bought online and was concerned about doing so but Buds was a great experience and shipped fast. You can be at ease buying from Buds they won't let you down. Thank you Buds for the easy transaction

Not bad for the money. Has a few minor casting marks, but functions fine, and is reasonably accurate. The trigger is light, but has considerable creep. More than accurate enough for squirrels and rabbits out to 40 yards.

I bought this model - 22-10, and the 17-10 at about the same time. Naturally I read all the negatives about buying a "cheap" revolver, so here is my experience. Out of the box the gun comes with a matte, black finish. Frame, barrel housing, grip frame, all appear to be an alloy, probably zinc. The cylinder is a massive, 10-shot, steel affair with an oversized ratchet for indexing. Inside the frame the "hand" is of matching oversize construction, so going out of time is not likely. The hammer, barrel liner, screws, base pin, and all internals are steel as one would expect. The oversize is on par with a conventional SAA, yet much lighter and surprisingly well balanced even with the 7.5" barrel. Initially, the action had a noticeable "hitch" as the hammer is lowered from full cock, but everything functioned as designed. I checked cylinder alignment and found it to be true, though the factory forcing cone is rather smallish, so I opened it up a bit using a Lyman case trimmer. No worries at all about bullets being properly funneled into the barrel! Taking the gun apart I identified the "hitch" as being caused by the cylinder locking bolt's spring leg having to flex excessively when passing the beveled surface of the hammer-mounted actuation stud. Turns out the stud is "longer" than needed, so a few minutes with a Dremel had it pared down to size so the bolt spring-leg only flexed a small amount as it should. BTW, this is exactly how all six-guns of classic Colt internal lock-work function, so the things one would do to smooth out a centerfire are the same things to do to this version. After reassembly the action was glass-slick and smooth! Cocking delivers that nice, "rolling" sensation one enjoys with a classic single-action, and let-off feels fine and crisp - I did stone the trigger sear a bit while I had it apart. At the range, the gun loads all 10 chambers and fires without a problem. Fired cases do not bind the action in any way. Accuracy about 20 yards out is as good as one can hold. I was able to shoot into about 2" with a careful hold. The revolver is also surprisingly accurate at 100 yards out, and it's not hard at all to consistently hit a 6" plate. The grips are inexpensive plastic with molded design, and the overall look of the gun is subdued....after all, it IS an inexpensive piece and one should probably not expect it to arrive with a CCH frame and high-polish blue. I think one way to really make it look good though would be one of the many aftermarket finishes to even things out. But as a shooter I call it an excellent buy. The frame and barrel housing are big and beefy and this gun will easily out-last several human life-spans! My rating is based on what the Chiappa 22-10 "is" not what others think it should be based on comparison with a revolver costing three times more. Even without being tuned, the gun would last pretty close to forever.

recieved the gun today, and I have to commend Buds great shipping. all I'm gonna say is that its is a $197.00 gun so don't expect very much. i'll give a better review after taking it apart and cleaning it and smoothing up the edges on moving parts,

Great service as always with fast shipment and call from FFL. This pistol is a blast to shoot. Handles like a full size 45LC.

Just received the revolver in perfect condition in less than expected time. First impressions were good as it felt solid and tight but the real surprise came when I ran the first full cylinder full of Hi-Vel ammo down range! At 20 yds. all shots went into an inch and a half ragged hole! This is not a poor quality revolver at all. It may lack some refinements but all in all it is a winner for sure.

You can from Chiappa Alex. But, unless you purchase a combo 22LR/22Mag (with fitted cylinders) you may have to have some minor fitting done for perfect operation. https://www.chiappafirearms.com/p.php?id=55
