Handy for 10 round mags with bipod usage.

Love these base plates especially when combined with the ten round magazines! I’m sure they work just as well on the higher capacity magazines.

Works great as a monopod, quick mag identification and assists with faster mag changes.

These looks great, however they do not hold up well in heat. Had them less than a month on my kit, and they dry rotted and broke. I love Magpul, but these are junk.

I love these floorplates, particularly on the 20 round PMAG GEN M3 magazines. No problem clearing the ground from a prone position with the 20 round mag, even with this on the bottom and even when shooting downhill from over a rock or other parapet. It adds a nice bumper in case of impact or drops onto hard surfaces, plus this makes the shorter magazine easier to fish out of pouches. Under stress, the distinctive shape of this thing seems as though it might help deter the (rare, but many firefight vets have seen it) phenomenon of a shooter attempting to load a fresh mag upside down into the mag well. I realize some action shooters out there may think me foolish for my 20 round magazine preference, but they make my carbine less cumbersome, particularly when really trying to use cover - as in rolling and crawling behind rock and rubble piles, etc. This floorplate really improves my tactile function during reloads, especially with gloves on, so I have it on all of my PMAGs.
