I understand it says it is a Sig Part in Sig packaging but that doesn't mean they manufacture it. Lots of companies outsource items like this and I didn't think Sig would spend their time and money to make barrels. Just double checking this because I figure someone like Storm lake, Jarvis, Barsto etc might be the actual maker.

Hey Rick, there are so many hardcore Sig fans and then fans of other pistols that if Sig didn't make their own barrels, I believe it may be brought up in conversation more. Not that there aren't manufacturers out there that are capable, just an outside perspective. But, it is a genuine Sig part.

Upgrade or replace the barrel on your 1911 full-size with this original SIG SAUER part. The threaded barrel is chambered in .45ACP and allows you to attach a suppressor or other muzzle device. A knurled thread cap protects the end when no device is attached. SIG SAUER factory replacement pistol barrels are specially heat-treated for toughness and durability.
