This is by far my favorite Bond Arms Barrel. I have a Rough Neck and this Barrel is the perfect balance between the .357 and the .45 LC. Always a pleasure shooting.45 ACP

I bought a Bond Defender 3 inch barrel in 45 acp from Buds. Like all Bond barrels, it installs easily and quickly. Before shooting, it was a little more difficult to close and open. After a couple drops of oil and 2 rounds downrange it was perfect. Just like the barrel that came with my Roughneck (note: bond test fires all guns before they leave the factory).
I’ve shot mostly 230gr, a few 185gr and one round of 185gr +p (pretty sure Bond recommends against +p). All were surprisingly manageable but my comfort limit is about a dozen rounds per session. I wouldn’t consider shooting 45super out of this 21 oz gun. 45acp is plenty; keep in mind, like 9mm, 45 acp performs well ballistics-wise out of short barrels.
