The "Bravo" model retains all the features of the original SU-16, such as integrated bipod, Picatinny rail, and rotating stock with magazine storage. However, the "Bravo" has a lighter and shorter barrel, about 8 oz. and 2.3". Now comes equipped with Chrome-lined bore and chamber standard.

The front and rear sight are hard coat anodized aluminum and adjustable for elevation and windage respectively. They are both removable and the front sight uses AR-15 style front sight posts. The SU-16B is not a replacement for the original SU-16 but a complement for customers that put a premium on light weight and compactness. The "Bravo" type sights can be purchased as a retrofit for SU-16 owners preferring the AR-15/M-16 front sight system.

Great gun, low recoil, buds shipped it fast and it’s accurate up to 200 yards plus. Very reliable.

Gun shoots great. Barrel seems thin but with it being piston operated stays cooler than my ar15s. I’ve put around 300 rds down it and not a single hiccup. Only complaint is the bipod is useless. Cheap plastic and really takes away from the rest of the gun.

This gun is actually one of my favorites since it came in. Takes full AR mags and doesn't mind steel ammo. Especially if you live in a restricted state... You really can't beat this gun for the price. I keep trying to think of reasons to order another. Very lightweight and very accurate. If you are looking for a combat rifle.. I would keep looking. But you just can't beat it. It's a blast to shoot. Handles heat surprisingly well. Thanks !

So I'm about 1,000 rounds in with only one stovepipe. The firearm cycles extremely well and up to 100 yards with my colt style optics, it has a tight grouping. It's not an AR-15, but what it lacks in the department of 'combat rifle,' it makes up for its simplicity, light weight back packing ability, and utility. The rifle is extremely easy to maintain and the integrated piston and bolt assembly makes it so it's easier to maintain pieces out when you're in your tent. The rifle cannot cycle more than 80 rounds without severely overheating. The fore-end will begin to literally melt onto the barrel. So keep that in mind, it's not an AR-15. But the designers had that in mind, I really think Keltec had designed this rifle so you can survive with it.
There's a bunch of aftermarket stuff that goes with the rifle. I believe that in factory condition the rifle is more than sufficient for your needs.

The service was great and the shipping was timely even during this national crisis. Thank you!

good item for price and purpose, excellent accuracy over distance, very fun to shoot. Make sure when cocking the gun to load a round to push it forward all tge way otherwis the firing pin never reaches the round. Very fun, and very light weight. Easy to accessorize.

This is an update on my intial review. I have fired about 500 rounds so far and the rifle works quite well. Occasionally it will have a hiccup when it gets too hot (heat buildup really IS an issue on this lighter version) but other than that it has worked very well. It's a pleasure to shoot due to the featherlight weight (I also have 2 AKs and they weight a ton in comparison). I have upgraded it with the AR style pistol grip and adjustable stock that Kel Tec offers and it not only looks sharper that way but the ergonomics have also improved. Note that this stock does still allow the rifle to be folded just not completely anymore. I am planning on getting a C version next since it has a heavier barrel and should do better on the heat issue.

Nice gun for the money, shoots well and the recoil is decent considering the incredibly light weight. Heat dissipation seemed to be an issue on mine but this may be due to the fact that it was just out of the box. I used 30 rounder MAGPUL promags in it and it jammed on the third mag since it was getting too hot. Fired fine again after some cooling down. The buttstock magazine and the bipod are also nice to have plus it folds up into a really compact bundle. I think the heavier barrelled model work better for extended shooting but this one was designed for easy transportation, backpacking etc. I would recommend this.

Nice gun, accurate shooting. Takes AR-15 mags. Some jamming with cheap ammo. Very light weight so a little recoil. Bifold forearm is nice to have but a little flimsy. Over all well made and fun to shoot.

Angelo, yes Sir it is NY compliant. SU-16A, SU-16CA and SU-16B are NY legal. The rest of the threaded barrel variants are not.
