Well I just got my Cx4 Storm Tuesday. I still havent had time fir the range. The gun is great, love the design, and you can beat the price of 9mm ammo over that of what you would pay for .223 Everything I have heard and seen about this gun is awsome! Hopefully get out to the range soon. For the price theresnot much to competewith it. I would recomend it.

Having a Model 92F from my LE days I wanted to pick up a carbine that would share magazines with that pistol. The Kel-Tec Sub2000 and CX4 fit the bill. Since it in nearly impossible to find a M92F mag Sub2000 nowadays, the CX4 was the default choice.
The carbine feels very good in the hand, shoulders well, and feeds perfectly, no matter what 9mm ammo I throw at it. Takes all of the Beretta 92F magazines that I own (factory 15s, mec-gar 15s, mec-gar 17s, beretta 20 rnd extended, etc.) with no issues. Good accuracy and fairly light weight. The only ergonomic thing that bothers me is the built in towers that house the iron sights. Rather have had a flat top with foldable AR sights, but the sight towers do co-witness with the Burris FastFireII red dot. They will NOT co-witness with an Eotech sight (I have both the 512 and XPS3). Additionally, the width of an Eotech sight makes it difficult to charge the weapon using the cocking handle. Your hand WILL hit the sight when operating the manual cocking lever, usually taking some skin in the process. My Aimpoint M3 clone (Primary Arms) works okay though.
The weapon does come with ONE picatinny rail rail. If you want the bottom and 2nd side rail, you'll have to purchase those separately, or as a kit. The slide out accessory rail is okay for a tactical light, but too wobbly for a laser painter IMHO.
The composite body does not bother me at all, however, some of the composite internals do give me pause for concern. I will be upgrading my CX4 with some SierraPapa steel replacement parts in the near future. It is, IMHO, a bit pricey for a pistol caliber carbine. The hi-point carbine can be had for MUCH less, and they are built like tanks, but if you are a M92 owner and want a pistol caliber carbine to share mags with, this is an excellent choice. Keep in mind, however, it is a accuracy multiplier, not a force multiplier. If you intent is such, pick up an M4gery instead.

The greatest range toy of all time. Took it out and went through 350 rounds like it was nothing. The first group of 10 rounds shot standing at 20 yds. with iron sights just to get a feel for the gun were nearly all touching. The felt recoil is almost non-existent, despite how light the weapon is. I chrono'd it as putting out 115 grain FMJ's about 180 fps faster than my 92f, while 147 jhp's were about 100 fps faster. I haven't tested it past 50 yards yet, but for a fun plinking gun that could do some actual damage (especially during a Zombpocalypse, lol) this gun was perfect. Bud's got it to me quickly and at at the best price I could find.

Already a big Beretta fan, I bought this after shooting my son's 40 cal CX4. After a good cleaning, lube, mounting the front lower and side rail kit (for tac light and sling mount) I added a good quality red dot to the top rail and took it to the range.
Four different types of ammo from my handloaded match rounds to the obligatory Winchester White Box to hot, full-power self defense loads, the CX4 handled it all flawlessly. I even ran a mag of all 4 mixed with no hiccups. The usual Beretta precision machine performance. The accuracy amazed me as well as the smooth operation even with a slightly coarse trigger - that will break in with more rounds down the tube.
I use the Mecgar 20-round mags as I do for my IDPA pistol and they are great as well as economical.
PRO's: Reliable, accurate, easy to maintain, great home defense weapon, great for plinking and a ton o' fun to shoot. The adjustable length of pull and full ambi controls make it work for all. The perfect mate for my PX4 pistol as well. If you're into looks, you can't get much more "tacticool" than this! ;-)
CON's: Beretta accessories are pricey, but can be found at a reasonable cost with internet research. The internals on this one came dripping in oil to the point that some oil bled out to exterior parts; nothing a good cleaning didn't resolve though. Trigger group out of the box hit or miss, but aftermarket is available.
OVERALL: If you are looking for a weapon like this, you can't go wrong with the CX4; you'll be extremely pleased.
I would be remiss if I didn't add: This is my 4th or 5th weapon purchase from Bud's and I have to say: as usual, it was a seamless process with Bud's customary fast shipping, excellent communications, and customer support. Going to Bud's for your weapon needs is a complete no-brainer. Thank you Bud's!

I got this rifle from Buds about 6 months ago, and have taken it out 4 or 5 times. First of all, I want to say that Buds customer service is absolutely outstanding. They have always been very helpful in getting me exactly what I am looking for. They respond to all my emails in a timely fashion and have never left me disappointed. Now...for the rifle. This thing is sweet. I don't consider myself to be an excellent shot...I'm alright, but not a marksmen by any standard. I put a bushnell illuminated optic on this thing, laser bore sighted it, and first time out at 25 yards I made one large hole with 6 shots in the bullseye, standing, and the other 4 hit very close to the others. Since I am not the best shot in the world, I think this speaks volumes for this little carbine. If your haggling over buying one of these, haggle no further. Just buy it. You won't regret it. Beretta's got a winner with this one in my opinion.

Like the other reviews state this carbine leaves a smile on my face every time I go to the range. It’s well built, super easy to disassemble and great for HD. Its 16" barrel adds about 150fps over a standard 4" pistol barrel pushing certain +P loads into Sig .357 territory with much more accuracy and manageable recoil than a pistol. My Burris Fastfire is a great co-witness, allows super quick target acquisition and has turned it into a real tack driver.
I found aftermarket an all metal trigger, hammer & spring set up at the Beretta Forum. This, along with Mec-Gar 20 round factory mags will be my next upgrade as there is some slack and flex in the OEM polymer trigger group. Those who have used the all metal upgrade said they increase accuracy as well as the overall feel of the Cx4. That said, Bud’s ordering process, customer service (they monitor and reply to emails 24/7), shipping and price is as good as it gets and I look forward to future purchases with them.

I got it Thursday, and spent all weekend with a HUGE smile on my face pumping BOXES of ammo through it. WHAT-A-JOY!
All the online reviews told me that the CX4 is a fun shoot, but there's simply no way of understanding just HOW much fun it is until it's your finger pulling the trigger. Tight groups, great feel, smooth handling and it attracts fun OOO!'s and AWWW!'s at the range! It just an awesome weapon.
Huge thanks to Buds for offering this up at the price they do. Great pricing, Great folks to work with.
