Howa 1500 Barreled Actions are the perfect platform for a quality precision rifle build, at an affordable cost. Every Howa Barreled Action, from firing pin to the barrel is perfectly designed; quality machined, fitted with exacting tolerances and all with superior hammer forged pre-hardened steel.

Howa Features a machined receiver and forged bolt. The bolt features an integral bolt handle and pressure vent holes and the reliable M-16 style extractor/ejector. Our factory barrels are cold hammer forged steel and are chambered symmetrically at the center of the axis with head space set to stringent and exacting specs. Bolt faces are true and square to the chamber. All Howa Barreled Actions are equipped with outstanding technical features and innovations.
All Howa’s have a 3-position safety which allows for the action to be locked down as well as unloaded while safe.

Quickly Received my Howa .270 Barreled Action from Buds. Purchased a beautiful Boyd's stock to compliment the Howa action. The action dropped right into the Boyd's stock without any modification. Placed on it an adequate base, rings, and reliable scope. No other modifications were made nor were any aftermarket parts installed. Loaded some 140 grn Nosler AB in front of a almost max dose of H4831. The rifle was shooting .5 inch groups while still in the break-in period. The broke in rifle sits as one of my all-time most accurate hunting rifles. You can't go wrong with a Howa Barreled Action from Bud's.

Another great Howa product (this is my 4th rifle). I ordered the barreled receiver to go along with a custom Boyd's stock. I like the .270 as a flatter shooting alternative to the 30-06. The action has great blueing and a wonderful trigger right out of the box - no creap, crisp 3.5 lb setting. If it shoots as good as my 22-250, it will be a 3/4 MOA hunting rifle.
