Marlin 983S 22MG BOLT SS LAM - Synthetic, Fixed Stock

Very nice rifle and accurate as all Marlins I own are.My only complaint is the orange front sight,called Marlin and they just told me to take it off,but I'd rather have the metal sight instead. Buds is a great place to do business,like all businesses should be.

I watched this rifle for a long time and finally decided to go ahead and order, Buds was right on with the shipping, and this thing is AWESOME!!!!! It is even nicer than in the pics on the sites I have visited, and the stock is very smooth and well finished. I have no complaints! If you have been thinking about getting one of these then don't hesitate and go for it!! I also ordered the Simmons 3X9x32 silver 22MAG scope from Buds and it just tops it all off beautifully, and is a really sweet little scope, very clear and nice optics overall for the $$. The only thing I will say that is a minor negative about the rifle is the plastic orange front site. I have read lots of reviews that say Marlin will send you a nice metal replacement if you call and complain if your site is damaged or defective as mine and many others have been. That being said, it was so minor overall with how nice this 12+1 22Mag is that I still gave it a full 5. Great stuff, my 4th purchase from Buds and more to come. I will post an update when I finally get to shoot it, hopefully soon, but I anticipate it to be as good as any other Marlin I have shot, and since this is my 3rd Marlin that means good.
