Absolutely beautiful rifle. This was my first rifle purchase and I'm incredibly satisfied. Finish is excellent, the stock has some slight imperfections in terms of fitting the receiver, but I'm not too torn up about it. The action is smooth and precise, just a couple things to address...
- Ditch the scope immediately. The eye-relief is such that I was smacking my safety glasses half the time. Slapped a Leupold 3-9X40 on it on the same mounts, absolutely beautiful. Or, if you remove the hood on the front sight, the iron sights work great.
- Go ahead and spend the stupid money on a Wild West Happy Trigger kit. The stock trigger is indeed sloppy and heavy. Anyone with a basic mechanical aptitude can put the trigger in in a matter of minutes.
- Call me what you will, but after my first 60 rounds at the range I had quite the bruise on my shoulder. Invest in something to take the recoil, as the pistol grip stock and hard plastic butt combine to form a sledgehammer.
So far I've put about 200 rounds through it and received nothing but flawless operation, accuracy to 100 yards, and alot of comments at the range about how 'purdy' it is. Five stars!
Oh, and extremely prompt shipping, can't beat the price. Go Buds.
