The Marlin XT-17VSLB is a tool for every task, and for varmints, the right tool is the XT-17VSLB chambered in 17HMR. It sends a polymer-tipped bullet rocketing downrange at 2,500+ feet per second with a laser-flat trajectory. The XT Pro-Fire adjustable trigger produces an extremely consistent trigger pull with an ultra-clean break. Included are 4 and 7-shot clip magazines. The rugged black and gray laminate hardwood stock with thumbhole comes with sling swivel studs. The receiver is drilled, tapped and grooved for you choice of convenient scope mounting options. The barrel is a 22" stainless heavy varmint with front and rear scope bases only.

My favorite rifle of all my 17's. Smooth action for the money, especially after a few thousand cycles of the bolt. Accuracy is superb, makes me look like a better shot than I am. Like the look and durability of the salt and pepper stock. Comes with a flush mount mag and the 7 round higher capacity mag as well. Ultra easy to clean too.
