Misfires more than it shoots.

Had to modify the hammer to get a deeper punch on the primer.
Shouldn't need to take a grinder to a new gun to make it shoot

This is directed to Rossi and not to Bud's.
Bud's service was great, fast shipping and great price. Then I got the rifle and what a waste of my time. Took it to the range and it fired one time and it wouldn't work anymore. Tried three different kinds of ammo that I have used before and still nothing. It only gets better from here, sent it back to Rossi. Nobody called me or e-mailed me to say that they had my gun, I received a letter two weeks later telling me that they had just received the rifle but the tracking info I have says they received it a week earlier(nice lie). Now this is the real knee slaper, the turn around time on replacing a spring on a sigle shot rifle is between 4 - 8 weeks plus another week for shipping. That means that I don't get my rifle until sometime late Jan. or early Feb. Great job Rossi on killing a customer, I will never buy another Rossi product again. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP.

I received this item today. I like the look and feel. It feels lighter than I expected. However, I tried 5 rounds of Monarch ammo and only one fired. So the dealer gave me 3 rounds of Hornady ammo out of a new unopened box. None of them fired. Although all rounds had an indentation in the primer, the dealer felt that the hammer didn't have enough energy to set the primer off. I didn't have the thumb bar attached to the hammer. I wonder if the extra mass would have made any difference. I'm having it returned to Rossi. When it comes back, I'll post more comments.
