I've purchased several guns from Buds and their service has always been top notch, and it was with this purchase also. Now that I've got that out of the way, wow what a rifle. This easily, to me at least, is the best buy I have made on a firearm. The rifle is a tack driver with either 357 or 38. Yes the action had to be broken in as it was somewhat stiff starting out and seemed to handle 38s better at first. That's not to say 357s are a chore, they are not. It is now extremely smooth with both rounds after putting about 150 of each caliber thru it. Working the action a few hundred times before ever firing the rifle helped a great deal also. And the case hardened look gives it a somewhat antique appearance which I really like. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for reasonably price lever action rifle. Oh one final note. I've notice some reviewers talking about how they completely break down a rifle, and clean out the action before shooting it only then to complain and wonder why it malfunctions. Hmm, I wonder why that might happen also? Bottom line is if you aren't familiar with model 92 lever action rifles don't break down the action. This gun with a little oil is ready to go out of the box.
