The SIG556 features the same high-performance two-position adjustable gas piston operating rod system, engineered by SIG's sister company Swiss Arms, and marries it to a trigger housing that not only cuts the rifle's weight by a pound, but is designed to accept standard AR-15 magazines. The SIG556 features a 16" military grade cold hammer forged barrel, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, with a twist rate of 1:7". The A2 flash suppressor retains a standard 1/2x28 TPI thread pattern, ensuring compatibility with aftermarket accessories.
The vented tactical tri rail forearm provides the same overall feel of the Classic SIG556, but with the added utility of three accessory rails. The picatinny rail equipped receiver is made of high strength carbon steel with a durable wear-resistant Nitron finish. The rifle comes standard with a flip up combat front and rear sight system and a holographic red dot sight. The trigger housing is machined from an aircraft grade aluminum alloy forging, with a hard-coat anodized finish designed to survive extreme conditions.
The rifle comes equipped with a smooth two-stage trigger, ambidextrous safety and is designed to accept standard AR-15 magazines. A 30 round magazine is supplied with each rifle. This is a perfect rifle. When you pick this rifle up it feels perfect in its handling. It shoots great and no problem shooting all ammo. Buds has the best price and delivery.

WOW! That's the first thing I can say! Bud's offered this model at an incredible price, and I had to jump on it. The 556004 model does come with the SIG Holo sight, the newer version of the charging handle, and the folding/collapsible stock. However, the stock is the hollow type as seen on the swat models, not the one seen in the picture here. Also included were a bright blue gun case (attention grabber SIG?), lock, larger recoil pad that adds an extra inch, and one 30 round SIG mag. The SIG is incredibly easy to field strip, and even has updated push pins, so no more need to unscrew anything. The flip up rear iron sight is good enough to get the job done, though will likely be replaced soon. I love that it comes with picatinny rails all over the front rail. I shot 100 rounds at the outdoor range yesterday with some friends, and we were all very impressed. They are both owners of AR's, and they kept commenting on how solid it felt, how little recoil it seemed to have, and how much better it held target. Yes it is heavier than a standard AR, but not heavy enough to affect your shooting enjoyment. I am incredibly happy with my purchase, and was reminded of that when I was able to consistently hit a 2x2 steel target at 300 yards, even using iron sights. Thanks Bud's, and thanks SIG for such an incredible gun!

Awesome Gun. It was better than described. Came with the hollow collapsable stock and red dot sight. Very Happy with purchase. I was overcharged by accident they corrected right away, with no problems. I saw complaints online about Buds in forums but in my opinion they have no merit. Will likely do business with Buds again.
