Have had this rifle for about six weeks or so and have zero issues after 400 rounds. Sig quality here throughout.

Was torn on which .308 rifle to get. I ended up getting this one and could not be happier. I bought the Eotech EXPS 3-0 and Eotech G33 magnifier before taking it to the range. Loaded up with Sierra match king 168 gr. ammo this was ringing the gong at 100 yards after just 3 adjustments. Put a half inch grouping consistently. The gun itself is great. A little heavy but I planned on this being a gun I shot mainly from a sitting position. Put the Atlas bipod on and it's perfect. Not a single malfunction after 100 rounds. You will not be disappointed with this gun.

I bought this rifle using Bud's Layaway purchase program and have been pleased with every step of the transaction. Very smooth and trouble free. Great job Bud's!

The Sig 716 has proved to be an excellent rifle. I mounted a rifle scope in a good Larue mount and after throughly testing the rifle have proved that it is 100% reliable with every 308 cartridge that I tried: PPU Ball, PPU Match, Federal M80 Ball, Federal Gold Medal Match, and some older Lake City 308 Ball that I took out of several belts of M60 ammunition. I did replace the trigger with a Geisseke SSA-E to improve both precision and rapid fire shooting. BTW...got the trigger from Bud's as well for a great price! All together a great package that will put 3 rounds into less than 1" at 100 yards with the PPU 168 grain Match load. I couldn't be happier with Sig and Bud's.

I purchased this Sig 716 Patrol (FDE) several months ago and could not be happier. I put a few hundred rounds through it without an issue (brass and bi-metal). After getting it dialed in via iron sights, this gun is spot on at 100 yards. A few of my buddies would tend to agree... I plan on more distance shooting when I put glass on it. I chose to pay a few more dollars for the FDE version, but considering the going rate for a decent 7.62x51, I went with what I personally liked. I've heard great things about SCARS and will check those out next (not to compare). I would recommend this gun to anyone else looking for a .308, especially with the desire to hunt.

On a side note, Freedom Firearms FFL is the best FFL I have ever used!
