Buds delivered quickly, put a Nikon Prostaff on it and took it to the range to sight in. Love the compact barrel, smooth action, tang safety, and installed weaver mounts. Gun is light but has a very good butt pad that takes the bite out of the recoil. The magazine loads smoothly and feeds smoothly. I liked the trigger as set at the factory but it can be adjusted down. This gun can shoot way better than I can aim. Bottom line, an amazing bargain.

Purpose: I bought this gun for a difficult terrain rifle. I carries like nothing. One arm, cradle, however you like, it is so light (2-7X Nikon scope in Leupold rings) that you forget it is there.
Quality: The stock, marketed as free floated, is crooked and bears against the left side of the barrel. Otherwise the fit and finish are as expected. More of a military type finish than Ruger's other rifle offerings.
Shooting: Light as it is, the stock design and butt pad make it comfortable to shooting on the bench, but it's light weight make it a little lively offhand in the field. I got an average of 2.0" shooting Hornady American Whitetail (10, 5 shot groups). The little barrel gets hot fast, so plan a day if you want to shoot from a relatively cold barrel for hunting practice.
Ergonomics: The stock needs work. It is so small and slick that it is always shifting in your hands when gloved. The grip to trigger alignment is poor. The centered safety works well. It shoulder fast and repeatably, and as mentioned is a dream to carry, less so to shoot.
Trigger: I do not like the safe triggers on these grade guns. It will take a lot of range time to get used to it.
Conclusion: It works perfectly for what I bought it, something lightweight and compact in difficult terrain. I will be looking to replace the stock as soon a Hogue of something like their full length bedding block stock is available for it, or an AR type tactical stock. I do not like the trigger, but will live with it for now. Accuracy is minute of deer, but I will reserve judgement until I can shoot a wider variety of loads and fix the crooked stock.

The lil rifle is just what I was looking for. I had looked at the full size, but when this one came out, I knew I had to have one. It is short, sweet and to the point.
Bud's is always a fast shipper, and I have had nothing but good experience with Bud's.

Light but sturdy "reach out and touch" rifle. First day out had tight and consistent groups at 50, 100 and 300. Definitely happy with purchase. Very little recoil and no fatigue. Love the trigger system, which was easy to hone to your own. Safety is where I prefer.
