Bolt is glass smooth. Trigger is crisp. Stock is wonderful. Recoil is a solid shove... not sharp at all.
My particular rifle loves 300gr bullets, particularly the solids. Hits like the hammer of Thor.

Love this rifle.

All issues I have had with my new Winchesters have been resolved. Most had one issue, but it is worth noting they had no more than one issue each. Though annoying, the rest of each of the rifle were quite precision and gorgeous. All are very accurate and the bores are so smooth they hardly foul. So buy one you won't be sorry.

These could be great rifles if they get their act together. As it stands it would appear that there is inadequate inspection of the subcontracted parts as witnessed by the wide variety of defects and issues I have experienced in my six Winchesters. The list includes creepy triggers, failure to feed, faiilure to close on a chambered round, swivel studs that don't fit, field strippable bolts that don't field strip, flat checkering on the wood etc. There is no consistancy between them. I don't know what the problem is with the service department. I sent two in, got two back with the same problems.
