buds gun shop is fantastic. the savage 93f is not. the magazines on these are junk, be aware. i bought two extra magazines along with one that came with rifle, all three have major feeding issues, rounds pop out of magazine, don't cycle smoothly, have to push mag up in to get to feed, its a mess, makes this brand new out of the box 22wmr useless to me and un reliable. i have a 60's glenfiled with orginal magazine same set up bolt action mag feed and it works flawlessly, be advised to repair this thing before ever using or have a good gunsmith standing by mags are crap.

Arrived on time as always, and for a budget 22 WMR rifle, this one is great! Hits on target out of the box, and put on a decent scope, and it drives tacks! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for something like this Savage

I bought this item for 50 yd inward head shots on hogs when deer season is closed. As always, I love Budsgunshop.com. They have always treated me right. About the rifle itself. I give it a 4 star b/c there is a couple of things Savage can improve on this model. 1) A heavier barrel for stopping the barrel from warping shots after cooling. Using Federal 22 WMR 50gr JHP at 50 yds, I can shoot a 1/4" 3 shot grp. That's very impressive, til the barrel cools. Then, another 3 shot grp will hit 2" high & 1/2" right. It took me exactly a full box of 50 rnds to get it sighted in properly & I'm a very experienced shooter that owns my own rifle range & has sighted-in well over 500 rifles in my time. The heavier barrel will help to stiffen up the warpage & prevent the thicker barrel from straying rnds from a cooling barrel. 2) From many of the reviews that I've read before buying this rifle, the biggest complaint was the magazine. Mine is no different. The factory 5 rnd mag that comes with the gun doesn't hold the rnds in the mag when U put the mag in the mag well. When the magazine is firmly seated in the rifle with the bolt open, the 1st one or two rnds pop out of the mag into the opening of the receiver. Not good!!! Savage needs to improve on that. If U place the mag in the mag well slow, it should work fine. But, if U place the mag in the mag well & firmly or briskly push with Ur palm upward to here the click from it being locked, there will be ammo that comes out of the top of the mag in the bolt open area of the receiver. There is an easy fix to making the rnds hold in Ur magazine. On the top of the mag, there are 2 metal lips turned inward on each side to hold the ammo in the magazine. 2 are to the rear of the mag that holds the rimmed part of the round & 2 that holds the middle part of the round. On the mag that came with the rifle, it was the right front metal lip that holds the middle part of the rnd was not bent inward enough from the factory. I could tell that the rounds sat loosely in the mag. I just bent it inward approximately 1/64" to 1/32" of an inch with a wooden dowel & brass gun-smith hammer. That solved the problem of the ammo coming out of the mag when installed in the mag well. Make sure that both front lips on the mag are evenly distributed for the bolt to insure proper feeding when the bolt is cycled. Besides these 2 minor short comings in the manufacturing process, it would have received a 5 star from me. So, 4 stars in pretty good considering I can fix 1 of the 2 short comings. As always, since Buds doesn't make the guns, they only sell them, Buds get a 5 star from me for there customer service & friendly staff !!! A Special Thx's to Julia, she was kind, friendly & very helpful !!! Thx's Buds !!! Deer Man Out

I.m very happy with savage 93f 22mag, I do wish that shipping would have been faster. I don't know about you, but when ever I buy a "TOY", I want it yesterday !!! My shipping was the slowest of any guns Ive bought this year ! I'm not saying I won't buy from you again I'm just hoping that won't happen again !!!!! Randy

I cannot say this is a quality firearm. To get it to feed I have to slam the bolt forward with more force than I'm comfy with. I love Savage centerfire rifles but they just don't seem to be able to build a .22 rifle to save their life.
