The CZ 455 Training Rifle is chambered in .22LR and it shares the same popular features of its predecessor. It has the same 24.8" barrel, tangent rear sight (adjustable for distance) and beechwood stock with Schnabel for forend. The biggest difference is the ability to swap the barrel and/or stock, traits that all 455s possess. An ideal rifle for introducing youth to the shooting sports, the Training Rifle is shipped with a 5-round magazine, but a single-shot adapter and 10-round magazine are available.

Just took delivery of my 455 Trainer this afternoon. Looked it over and everything seemed just so right, like it always does with a CZ! Immediately went to the range and ran a box of old Federal 900 Gold Medal Match through it. The trigger feels light and crisp, almost as good as the modded trigger on another 455 I own. The barrel is free floated. I did not shoot for groups, just wanted to get a feel for the rifle. All my shooting was offhand at 50 feet in an old, dark, dank, indoor range. Still, I managed to keep all of the five-shot groups looking decent with the open sights. These sights are quite good, I expect with a little better light this rifle will be a joy to shoot. When I got home, I compared it to my 455 American. Although the wood on the Trainer is supposedly beech, it looks as good, maybe even better, than the walnut on the American. The action on the American is much smoother, but that could just be a matter of lubrication and break in. Overall, I am quite pleased. Glad I bought this rifle!
