If it was in new condition it would say exccellent because PTR Builds these gun Century just drops in the CETME/HK Bolt carrier and bolt head, the rest of the gun upper Receiver and lower HK Trigger Housing and barrel is PTR the Furniture is HK parts the C308 sporter in black is new in excellent condition and PTR handles the warranties and PTR rifles are the same thing PTR Barrel,Receivers and surplus CETME Parts as well so not much diffrence at all

This is built from surplus parts, it is not new. PTR builds new rifles and for the price difference is the better rifle. Just my opinion.

Century Arms is a company that builds "new" items with surplus parts. They also build items with new manufactured parts. Some of their rifles are great and others are not. My experience has been a literal roll of the dice with Century. Why is the price different ? Could be anything from the extra capacity to the fact FDE is a very popular color. Chances are this one has been built with brand new components, hence why the price is different.

Factory new. The color & 5rd magazine is what makes the price difference

It is New but Century Arms uses US made parts from PTR and New Military surplus parts. The biggest difference is the Black variant includes 2 - 20rd and one 5rd magazines.

Since the actual magazine catch/retention features are identical on 5/10/20/30rd magazines: Yes.

Standard Cetme/G3 mags are 20 rounders, but 30 rounders are availbale as well as a few new production drum magazines.
