about 500 rounds through this rifle and it is awesome...cci mini mags and s&w aftermarket magazines make the difference. you get what you pay for....fun to shoot.

Very satisfied! I got this a couple months back, and ever since then it has become the gun I like to shoot the best. Nicely made & has worked perfectly with several types of ammo including Federal bulk. Has been a great introduction to the AR platform.

Compared to some of my other rifles, and especially any of my handguns, this one is *very* quiet - almost to the point of not needing any hearing protection. I like the sound it makes. The iron sights are very accurate and perfect for my use as well - I had been considering getting a red dot for it, but not sure I need one now.

The M&P15-22 Perf Center models come pretty plain, presumably so it can be sold in some restrictive jurisdictions, so you'll want to make a few small additions right away:
- This one DOES come with a threaded barrel, so you'll want to buy something better to screw on to it than the protector that comes with it. I just got a basic A2 flash suppressor, more for the "cool" factor than anything else.
- It only comes with one 10-rd magazine, so you'll want to stock up on some nice 25-rd ones which are pretty inexpensive. I got a half dozen from another source - you'll go through a lot of ammo fast with the 15-22.
