The DPMS Panther Carbine makes a great choice for old school entry level AR-15. It comes with an 11.5" barrel and permanently attached 5.5" flash hider, A2 upper receiver with fixed carry handle, and Pardus collapsible stock. As it sits, this rifle is ready for some ammunition and a trip to the range.

Bought this gun a few months ago from Buds, so far I have put about 500 rounds though it and has performed very well. Mechanical sights are accurate and construction, fit/finish are quality. This gun is extremely loud though, must have to do with the shorter barrel.

Great weapon, the velocity is'nt what it should be cause of the short barrel but with 1" grouping at 100 yards / iron sights who cares. I do have a bushnell for it to.Great service and pricing from buds.

I spent the better part of a year trying to decide on a AR to purchase. I found article after article on the DPMS Panther carbines. This is a solid rifle and very well built, as well as made in the USA. It shoots very well and I would recommend it to everyone. After a long search I found one here at Bud's. And as always Bud's came through on top. If you are looking for an affordable AR with A great support system behind it DPMS is the best choice.
