The gun is a piece of garbage. Why won't the computer let me give it 1 or 0 stars? Jams every third round no matter what ammo brand. No help from panther.

This thing arrived in great shape. After cleaning and mounting a nice scope, I headed to the range. I did the break in fire and clean ritual that DPMS recommended and the weapon did fine. I only went out to 50 yds this time since I was doing the break in, but the grouping was great and expect to get better as I do. The gun is heavier than my ar15 (surprise) but it is not cumbersome at all. Quite handy actually. I don't hunt, but I'm sure it would be an outstanding hog gun. The recoil is quite mild compared to other 308s I've fired. It seems to be a high quality firearm, had no malfunctions and would highly recommend it. One thing, DPMS really recommends against foreign made ammo ( get real, most of the ammo is made overseas) and definitely is against steel cased lacquered ammo cause could gum up the chamber. I can respect that, although I did fire some Colt Russian nickel plated steel rounds and it worked fine.
