I received my Deceptus AR a few weeks ago, and overall I love it. I was somewhat disappointed that these differ from the Deceptus rifles sold by Head Down. These have a forged upper and an AR bolt carrier, instead of a billet upper and M16 bolt carrier that you'll find on others. I was told by Head Down who is located near me that these were sold to a distributor who wanted the price lower. And these are around $400 cheaper than the original. Also, these ship with a PMAG instead of a Lancer mag, and do not contain the sample size Modern Spartan cleaner/lube. The upper foam part of my case wasn't properly glued and was separated, and Head Down replaced the entire case for free which has also become unsecured like the first. This rifle from Buds gets you close to the original Deceptus, but several hundred dollars cheaper. Overall I'm happy with it and have had no problems with the rifle itself.
