First off the only AR's I have ever owned have been RRA's and Colt and I usually stick with what I know. But after selling my RRA 6.8 a while back, I wanted another and could not find one. I saw the Stag Arms on Bud's and read all of the reviews I could find and and really couldn't find any bad ones so finally decided to take a chance. Excellent choice. Fit and finish are the best. After a clean and lube I took it out to my range for a try with an old iron rear site I had. Simply said it fired and ejected all rounds and fired accurately after a few site adjustments. All shots were hand held and I am over 60 and not the steadiest with a rifle but was able to put several shots through the same hole at 25 yards. If you have never considered a 6.8 you should. Excellent round out to 200 yards and I think has les recoil than some 5.56 rounds with a heavier hunting bullet.Excellent hog or deer round. And at 6.4 pounds it beats carrying a 8-10 pound AR-10 around all day on a hunt. It is a plain jane and will get some upgrades starting with a free float handguard and better sites, but I am actually very happy with the way it is now and if I buy another AR it will probably be a Stag. I have been buying from Bud's since 2009 and this is the 103rd firearm I have bought from them without any problems really and won't be my last.
