Offering all the durability and reliability of the original Rifle along with a number of improvements to the trigger and receiver, the SAM7SF CA Compliant Rifle is an absolute must-have for the serious AK enthusiast. While other milled-receiver AKs are machined from bar stock, Arsenal's hot-die hammer-forging process produces stronger and finer-grained steel.

Each forged receiver blank requires over 5.5 hours of milling before assembly. This forging and milling process is complex and time-intensive, but this meticulous attention to detail delivers a receiver of unequaled strength, precision and durability that does the Arsenal name justice.

And, because the parts fit together better than lesser AKs, barrel stability is improved, action is outstanding right of the box, and the trigger breaks like glass. There's a reason Bulgarian AK-47s are so well-regarded among shooters who know... and that reason is right here.

Very nice AK no malfunctions built like a tank and extremely accurate. I have not felt the need for optics on this because the iron sights are so nice.

Great rifle, totally worth the price. I didn't think I was going to like the alternative safety switch but I quickly fell in love with it. My only complaint with this rifle is that the handgaurd gets really hot after only a few 30 round mags, but this is fixed easily by just putting some railcovers or a foregrip on the thing. All in all I'm really happy with it and now all my friends want one of their own. 5 out of 5

I have always considered myself an “AR guy” and I still do. With that being said, I’ve recently been interested in obtaining a quality AK to see what all the buzz was about. After several trips to the range with my SAM7SF and 800 rounds fired, here what I have to say about this rifle: Pro’s: 1. As is to be expected, it’s reliable. Zero malfunctions with all ammo types I’ve tried…’nuff said. 2. The factory mounted for end rail makes it easy to mount a red dot, light, forward grip, etc. In my opinion, this makes it much more competitive with the AR if you’re looking for a defense rifle. 3. With Arsenal’s use of an AK74 style muzzle brake, recoil is extremely mild for a 7.62X39. 4. The folding stock is a plus if you plan on travelling with this rifle. I’m seriously considering taking this rifle to a training class at Valor Ridge this December because it will be easier for me to fit in airline luggage. 5. With an unmagnified red dot and Wolf Military Classic 124 grain HPs, I can achieve 2” groups at 100 yards with this rifle (shooting prone with a sandbag rest). A quality AR is still “more” accurate than this AK, but here’s some things that this rifle made me consider when comparing the two against each other. Wolf ammo costs around $0.20 per round, yet I can hold a 2” group with it. My .223 Wylde AR that cost me about the same as this Arsenal to build shoots about 0.75 MOA at 100 yards. However, that is with 77 grain SMK’s that cost $0.75+ per round. Which one is more cost effective? You be the judge. 6. It comes with a receiver mounted optics rail from the factory. In other words, you don’t have to worry about drilling into your brand new AK to attach one yourself. Con’s: 1. The combination of the milled receiver, factory rail, and fully loaded 30 round steel commie mags mean this rifle is on the heavy side. Not a deal breaker but it’s noticeable after a day of running drills. Especially if you are accustomed to ARs. 2. The folding stock is convenient for space savings, but doesn’t give you a very comfortable cheek rest. 3. At distances past 300 yards I start having problems consistently connecting with 8” steel plates (keep in mind I’m running an unmagnified red dot on it). This is more a con of the 7.62x39 cartridge, than this particular AK. It just drops too much at those ranges. 4. If you want to run a magnified optic, you’ll most likely need to use a side mounted rail. This means you will have to remove your optic each time you field strip the rifle for cleaning. Because I don’t like the idea of having to verify and adjust my zero after every cleaning, I go with a red dot mounted to the forward rail.

Great overall experience dealing with Buds. I purchased this Arsenal AK 47 using their 90 day lay away and had no problems with payments or shipping. The gun is excellent. Love the finish. The trigger is wonderful. Very nice pull and reset. The stock is sturdy. The gun is accurate right out of the box. I would highly recommend and may buy another one in the future.

All, I purchased the Arsenal SAM7SF 84R/ Milled receiver with quad picatinny rails. The fit, finish and overall quality is great. It was dialed in at 100 yards from the factory with the iron sites as stated. The Arsenal muzzle brake is nice and keeps the rifle as level as possible for Swift follow up shots. The milled receiver is very sturdy and P-Mag magazines insert and fit very tight and secure. I also like the additional thumb safety Arsenal puts on this model, it allows one to move from safe to fire very fast without removing your firing hand from guard position unlike the traditional AK safety. The folding buttstock is very stable when collapsed, it also has zero play when fully extended to the extent of having to butt stroke as self defense in Combat that it would do the job very well. One thing i must mention, my Daniel Defense DDM4V7 has a Geiselle SSA-E 1.2lb trigger and the trigger on this SAM7 feels just as can good and I mean that. The machining on this Firearm is second to none. If your looking for a high quality AK I would NOT exclude the Arsenal SAM7SF 84R. I will post another review once I hit the 1000 round mark with any issues/concerns or info I feel the consumer should know. Also this was my first time ordering online and ordering from Buds was very hassle free and they kept me updated with the status of the firearm, which is important when you feel like a kid at Christmas waiting for it to come! Thank you for your time and keep on buyin Guns boys! -Tyler
