All Mossberg 930 Special Purpose shotguns feature a self-regulating gas system that vents excess gas to aid in recoil reduction and eliminate stress on critical components. All 930 autoloaders chamber both 2 3/4 inch and 3-inch 12-gauge shotshells with ease from target loads, to non-toxic magnum loads, to the latest sabot slug ammo. To complete the package, each Mossberg 930 includes a set of specially designed spacers for quick adjustment of the horizontal and vertical angle of the stock, bringing a custom-feel fit to every shooter. Safety and safe handling is of paramount importance in special purpose firearms, and the 930 was engineered with that in mind. The receiver-mounted safety is convenient for right or left-handed users; simply push the button forward to take the weapon off safe. A protruding chrome cocking-indicator button is strategically placed in the front inner-edge of the trigger guard, making it easy to see and feel when the weapon is cocked or un-cocked. All 930 Special Purpose models feature a drilled and tapped receiver, factory-ready for Picatinny rail, scope base or optics installation.

I love this shotgun. Shot it over the past two days and am more than happy with Mossberg 930 combo and Budsguns.Shot about 70 or 80 rounds through the 28 in. barrel and 120 to 130 through the 18 in barrel. 28 incher shot everything thing I put through it buckshot, target loads, field loads of both 2 3/4 and 3 in. shells, high brass, low brass, of all different brands no problems. 18 incher about 2 of every 5 rounds would either get stuck in barrel or double feed the first day I shot it. Next day put 60 rounds through it with only one stovepipe using same ammo listed so it's near perfect and guarantee will be perfect with time. Not super solidly built but still feels very nice. Trigger's great, very lightweight, Fiberoptic is nice, Chokes have good pattern, and it comes with a extra tactical barrel! Also have the 500 which has been 100% perfect too. Mossberg makes great affordable shotguns. Will definately be buying more guns from Buds. Thanks Buds.

This shotgun was bad from the get-go. Double feeds and failure to load constantly. The bolt would get stuck in the rear position and you would have to bump it with your hand to get it to close. I cleaned it twice with no joy. It was then sent to Mossberg and came back EXACTLY the same. I took it to a local gunsmith and he was unable to get it to operate correctly. I finally was lucky enough to trade for a Benelli plus some cash. I may have paid more for a Benelli Nova than anyone in existence, but at least a have a gun that works and perfectly at that too.

Good shotgun, didn't function reliably with target loads at first. Had to run a bunch of full power loads to break it in and then it was working smoothingly. Overall im satisfied with the gun

Excellent for the price! Fairly rugged with no bells or whistles and the 2 barrel option is a huge plus! It comes with stock spacers and 3 chokes as extras. Lightweight and reliable. It took a while to get here (ordered 12/28/11, arrives 1/11/12) but i'm a patient person. I'll blame the holidays and the electronic debit process... No fault of Buds. This is my 3rd gun purchased from Buds and there WILL be more.

Ordered on 7/5/2011 with the electronic check as payment. Delivered to my FFL in Ohio on 7/12/2011. Took it home, fully stripped it, cleaned it up and lightly lubricated it before taking it to the range. This shotgun is great! I haven't owned a semi-automatic shotgun before, so I was a bit leery as to its reliability with various ammunition. I have not used the 28" barrel yet, but the 18.5" barrel has eaten everything perfectly I've fed it with zero hiccups. I've run only 2 3/4" ammunition - Hornady TAP low-recoil (#8626) and full power (#8627) 00 buckshot, Federal Tru-Ball low-recoil (PB127 LRS) and full power (PB127 RS) slugs, Brenneke K.O. (SL-122KO) slugs, Federal Tactical (LEF127 RS) slugs, Federal Target loads (#8 birdshot). The only think I can complain about was losing one screw out of the top of the receiver, where a scope mount woud go. Too many rounds put through it in one range session and a screw backed out and fell out of the shotgun. Just a "cosmetic" screw - nothing that performs a real function. Easily replaced by the local gunsmith, though. (And I called Mossberg about it; they're sending me some more screws, just in case it happens again.) Hey, I'm a 5' 2", 130 pound guy. This shotgun was pretty tame with all those different loads.... and pretty easy to keep on target for fast follow up shots. It's definitely easier on the shoulder than my pump Remington 870 - 12 gauge, but that should go without saying. I highly recommend it!
