Magazine sping was tangled when I recieved shotgun. But, I corrected that easily when I disassembled for initial cleaning/oiling. Safety is rather stiff, but functions. Fired ~200 rounds of mixed ammo, including 100 slugs and some light 1oz target ammo through it without any malfunctions. Shoots very softly. So far very happy with purchase. As always, buds had a great price and good service. At my FFL within a week.

5 stars for the shotgun and the buds price

I saw this gun at some local dealers, figured I'd look at what buds price was, buds had it for over 100 less compared to local dealers, so I went with buds.

I really like this gun, now it had some minor dings on it, which would have bothered me if it was my first gun, but now being a shooter for a awhile, I know that I'd make those dings myself within the 1st 2 weeks anyway. So that did not change my 5 star ratting.

For the price I got this at, its a nice product. I have not shot this yet, but I have no doubts it will do well after inspection and the smooth sliding action, how easy it is to load the magazine tube, etc.

To possible new owners of this gun, there will be a little sliding/wobble in the trigger-action part, where it fits in the lower part of the gun. Its normal, from what I read on the forums its a very common experience, it even adds to the functionality of the gun: some-what lose parts means better reliability and will not be as prone to getting jammed up if debris/dirt is introduced, compared to tighter parts that may seem more pleasing and have a better finish/feel need near perfect conditions to work all the time.

This is not some 2000 dollar shotgun to go shoot clays with, but if I had to pick one shotgun to have it would be this one. You cant beat the high shell capacity, the price and that its made in the USA. This gun has high praise from many other shooters because it loves to chew up cheap wal-mart ammo, which is always nice to have a gun thats not picky on ammo :)

bought this as my first Mossberg product, out of the box its mag spring was tangled the front sight and vent rib where crooked the safety was inoperable, and the reciecer mounting screws where marred....none of this I noticed right away when I did a visual of the gun at transfer...so I sent it to Mossberg the next day called them a week after the received it and the told me it had already shipped back to me without me getting any notification...was also told that I would get a call while it was being serviced in order to confirm the repairs... I got no such call.....then I get it back and all the issues are fixed except the receiver mounting screws are still marred and noe there are impact marks on the receiver from a vice I am assuming, a small dent and a scratch ...my experience with buds has always been positive but stay away from Mossberg products

Nice gun....even though I originally wanted and ordered the 22" 8+1 model. But my order magically changed into a 24" 9+1 and I get stuck with it. So I guess those last 3-4 orders from Buds this year will be my last.

I recently purchased a 10-shot JM Pro from Buds Guns and am extremely pleased with it. I will be using it for 3-gun competitions. It has swallowed every type of ammo I've fed it including the el-cheapo Wal-Mart Winchester Super-X shells.

The shotgun has been 100% reliable. The accuracy is very good. My only complaint is the single FO sight at the front with no sight in the rear. I have purchased a TRUGLO® Tru-Bead® Turkey Universal Dual Color Sight that clips onto the rail to correct that deficiency.

If not for the disappointing sight I would give this shottie a solid 5.
