Light as a bag of feathers. The recoil of this pistol is awesome--the precieved recoil seems to be more than that of my S&W 500 Magnum. (same goes for my for my S&W 360 PD, 1 7/8" barreled .357). Takes awhile to get used to due to the recoil but after about 50 rounds it's just as accurate as just about any other revolver I have. One feature that gleams to me is the fiber optic front sight, you can accuire the target almost immedicately. The rear sight is a V, not the usual square notch most smith's have. I highly recommend a good padded shooting glove and ear protection is a MUST--not optional, even when outdoors. I don't have any shooting gloves so I use a pair of my motorcycle riding gloves. For everyday range shooting, I recommend reduced load bullets, not the full power 240 grain Hornaldy XTPs I first shot in it. It's a couple hundred more that a 6XX series stainless 44 but the reduced weight is well worth the money.

Bone-shattering stopping power, reknown destructive force of a tried and true round. Good for ranch defense (i.e. not ideal for home defense - don't shoot a .44M in your house unless you want shattered eardrums), or walking in the Alaskan wild. Awesome power without the worries about the arm and joint pain delivered by the .50. That's just overkill and pretentious in my opinion.

This light frame balances perfectly, somewhat strong recoil but still manageable. Grips can be a little slick. Accuracy is probably not quite as good as the 357 Perf Ctr. This one gets a 9/10 for performance, and 10/10 for materials, craftsmanship and quality. Good gun.
