Loves cheap Blazer aluminum cased ammo, hates brass with a passion. Out of 625 rounds of the Blazer aluminum cased ammunition that has been through it it has malfunctioned a total of ZERO times. 625 out of 625. That is excellent for this type of design chambered in 9mm. Now as for brass cased ammo? 280 rounds fired...18 malfunctions. All failures to extract. The spent shell casing would remain in the chamber and it would then fully cycle and jam a live round into the rear of the un-extracted case. Not good. Now when I dropped the magazine and cleared the live round out, I could cycle the slide by hand and the spent case would extract. Hmmm. 147 gr. Gold Dots were fine in the few that I tried(10/10), 124 gr. Hydra-Shoks were fine too (10/10), but it doesn't like brass. Now it was 50/50 on the 115 gr. Independence FMJ that they sell here on Bud's (blue and white box), but it didn't like Winchester White Box, Remington, or the Blazer brass. One other note: I wanted to see if I could cycle (by hand) the hot Cor-Bon load through it, before I took it to the range and tried it. Once the first round was chambered, I had to struggle (quite a bit) to extract it by hand. To the point I started to get worried that it wouldn't come out of the chamber. It's as if the chamber it just a hair too tight...so, no Cor-Bon's will be run through it. As far as the rest? Trigger is good, accuracy is excellent and the overall feel is great. It looks and feels just like the 1911 in .45ACP, but hasn't got nearly the kick which means fast times on the course. Since I use this mostly as a competition gun and for plinking, as long as I run the Blazer aluminum stuff through it everything is just dandy, but I wouldn't trust it as my carry gun.
