This is an amazing gun with lots of power. Light weight easy to control. Recoil is manageable even with its light weight. I have taken down a mule dear (200 yards). I have also taken down several hogs with this gun and no need for a second shot but that has more to do with it being a 300 Win Mag. As far as the quality, its a Sako, enough said. They have always made an excellent firearm. Action is amazing and easy to lock and load when you need to be quiet. The barrel dissipates heat extremely fast. Trigger is crisp and consistent. I did replace the scope mounting plates. There is no way the aluminum ones will take the recoil from a 300. Gun shoots extremely will. Just a good solid all around hunter. I purchased this gun because I shoot hogs in all kinds of weather and it was doing a number on other guns. This gun took some abuse this year and after 3 months I decided to clean it and it looks brand new. Almost forgot, the stock works so good in wet conditions, never once had my hand slip or feel like I was losing grip.
