This revolver is outstanding. I only fire heavy .45 Colt ammunition through it so I can't speak to the .454 Casull end of the spectrum. However, from 10 to 60 feet even this 2.25 inch barrel is consistent, comfortable, and just a ton of fun to shoot. Until I started really working with the .45 Colts regularly I was always carrying a 1911 .45 ACP. Even with 250-260 grain ammunition i have found the Raging Bull surprisingly comfortable to shoot and as consistent as any firearm I've ever owned. there are numerous holsters and .45 Colt loads so I have started changing over from my 1911s to the Taurus. I like it that much. The weight difference is also negligible to my 1911s; even my Officer's model: so I still hardly notice it. It is actually lighter than my RIA 1911A2, which I used to carry in the winter months.
Having researched the Taurus some of the widespread articles got me close to changing my mind about buying it. I am really happy I didn't listen to them. I have not had one problem: the revolver shoots just the way I like it: and the price from Bud's was really good. Some people nag about firing shorter rounds in them (like the .45 Colt): don't listen to them either. There is a stiff cloth just for gunpowder residue and it cleans the cylinder and parts up so nice it looks like new with minimal effort.

Great gun. Worked just fine right out of the box. When arrived at FFL he wanted to try it.
Set up six milk jugs full of water. One 325 gr round later. Milk jugs gone water all over the place.
Lot of fun and creates a lot of interest at gun range. Live in Illinois, not much need for 454 today.
But, can never be to sure when zombies will show up.

AMAZING WEAPON!!! first time to the range with this bad boy was a life changer! first shot............hand tingled.........2nd shot.......reality kicked in and i realized this was a whole lotta gun!! 5th shot.........i turned around and saw a few dozen people lined up to see what i was shooting. this gun i well built, incredibly beautiful, and just down right perfect! buds was a pleasure to deal with ill be doing it again VERY soon. if you have any doubts about this gun............get it!!! trust me YOU WANT THIS GUN!!

My first Taurus gun. DOUBLE ACTION: I get light hammer stike every 4th round or so which causes a failure to fire. Has an issue with the cylinder ratchet on one particular round. The cylinder ratchet itself is very rough looking compared to other revolvers. Trigger pull smooth except for the one round that is hard to get the cylinder to rotate. SINGLE ACTION: Works beautiful and never misses a beat. You don't notice the rough ratchet when firmly cocking the hammer back with your thumb. Finish is very good and trigger pull very nice and crisp.

This pistol shipped quickly and was in excellent shape when I picked it up. It is concealable in SC but barely. It is heavy but not too heavy to hold. The design is great and the price is unbeatable. If you go to the Taurus website to buy this pistol you will end up paying over $900.00 for the same pistol. This is the best purchase I have made with Bud's.

All I can say is...... WOW!!!!! Tons of horsepower and a blast (literally) to shoot. I shot some 260 gr thru it and muzzle blast was intense but recoil is very manageable. I think this is due to the factory porting. Much less upward flip than the Ruger Alaskan (fine gun also). Lots of fun. This is not the first 454 Casull I have owned but the recoil and muzzle flip come very close to the S&W 500 Mag. High quality firearm.
