Awesome firearm. Smooth Operation. Put more than 200 rounds through it on 2 range visits and no problems, no jams. Having a smaller hand, the single stack enables me to hold it confidently without having to downgrade to a much smaller caliber to get a double stack configuration. This was the firearm I used for my 13 years in the Marine Corps, and it's nice to own one of my own. Buds was awesome, easy and fast.

I wanted a 1911 that was as close to the military original as possible, and that's exactly what I got for a great price. Definitely a beautiful firearm!

I love this gun. Feels great, love the trigger, looks great and shoots great. The mag release was a bit sticky at first but a drop of oil and its no problem.
Havent put hundreds of rounds through it yet but so far its shot all kinds of loads without a problem. I guess there are better 1911's out there but I can't imagine how. Reasonable price and USA made. Would be nice if they included a case instead of a box and an extra mag but I think they are keeping the price under $600 this way. My favorite pistol by far.
Buds was an easy transaction like all the other times I used them.

A very well made firearm. Not a single problem right out of the box. The magazine is of nice quality as well. My only gripe, and it's not really a big deal, is that it is a series 80 as compared to the original G.I. models that were series 70. Overall, I highly recommend this pistol. You won't be disappointed.

The firearm is good, it does what it supposedly has to do, the only problem that I have is that it has some cosmetic problems, like scratches and stains Other than that it’s okay

I absolutely love this pistol! This is my first Auto Ordnance product and I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like when I ordered it, especially since the price is very affordable. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised! The fit and finish of this pistol is excellent, and I have had no malfunctions thus far after about 150 rounds. I’ve seen cheap 1911s made by other manufacturers that have tooling marks on them, however not with this pistol. If you are looking for an affordable GI style 1911 that is good quality then look no further.

The auto ordinance.45 GI edition is the closest to the WW2 standard issue sidearm. The pistol has a 6 -7 lbs trigger. The break is fairly clean. The finish is parkerized. The action is smooth. The grips are good. The only complaint is the magazine that came in the box would not feed. I bought Kimber mags. For the money it’s a great looking 45. I would recommend this.

    Tien, yes Sir. It uses a Blade Front Sight that's a narrow tenon sight. You can find replacement that provide a better sight picture and little or no gun smithing. The hole for the front sight tenon can be made larger to allow installation of a more visible large tenon sight. Staking the front sight calls for a special tool that any 1911 pistol smith should have. I've done a few and it takes less than 1/2 hour, start to finish. You can probably buy a staking tool for less money than a half hour of gunsmith time. If you are not comfortable with the replacement, a smith can do it for you.
