Just got mine yesterday. Overall appearance is a decent amount of surface rust with some sneaky rust under the grips. Nothing some 0000 steel wool and oil won't be able to cure. Bluing was pretty worn from being in a holster. Standard grips that are showing some age, but no huge chunks missing. Mechanically it is top notch. Mine was probably more closer to 80% if not 75%, but I'm not complaining because if I wanted something pretty then I would have bought new. Closest I have been able to determine manufacture is 1981. This is a pretty good deal, have to feel it in your hands to appreciate...can't wait to poke holes in the bull's eye with this one.

The Model 10 I received was in better condition then the one that's in the picture so I was happy about that. I bought this model 10 with the intention to re blue it and put a different set of grips on it. I just finished the reblueing and putting the new grips on and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. I bought the model 10 because of the history behind it and I'm happy to add this one to my collection. I would recommend this revolver to someone wanting a piece of history or just a nice revolver and wouldn't recommend it to someone who thinks it will be worth a lot of money down the road because it wont be.

You get what you pay for and the description is right on. yes the bluing is worn but if you go to walmart buy a rebluing kit, just use the degreaser and the bluing agent, the firearm comes right back to slightly used condition. refinish the grips or get new ones and this gun is back to 95% condition with very little effort. my first revolver but by no means my first hand gun, this one shoots straight cylinder has a nice positive lock up. trigger is very light in single action kind of surprised me but in a good way. definitely worth the money.
