These fellas really pack a punch! I had a pack of 4 dogs wander through my front yard and ran my 2 cats under the fence into the back yard. I followed them in my car down the road. They were in the yard of a neighbor mauling their beautiful calico cat. They killed her and headed back toward our street. Near them I discharged one round of 45 ACP into the ground from my concealed carry gun. This is when I ordered this rubber buck. I test fired one shell of this and one of 410 #8 shot in my back yard. The gun is a 6" Taurus Raging Judge (410/45 Colt/ 454 Casull). The distance was 15' against 1/4" plywood backstop. The rubber buck grouped very tight at about an inch and completely penetrated the wood. The #8 had about a 2.5 foot spread and almost all of the pellets went through the wood. The remainder were deeply embedded. I've called animal control in the past about a similar issue. That dog wasn't that aggressive, but they told me to put it in our back yard were we have more cats and they would pick it up in a day or so. I didn't do that then and I sure as heck wouldn't do that now with known cat killing dogs. I really liked the pattern on the #8 as the buck grouped a little too tight at 15'. So my Taurus is loaded with 6 rounds of 410 #8 and has a pair of earmuffs sitting next to it. I call it dog medicine.

Not the best ammo for target practice. Looking forward to using it.

Always nice to have options and these do the job. Less than lethal is a new option and I would recommend these. Buds is great answering your questions and helping guide you through the process.

An alternative to the old saltpeter load as a deterrent and only if you aren‘t expecting to defend your life

I have been using these occasionally in my Taurus Judge PPD and have not had any problem with them at all.
Function as described.
Very very low recoil, yet they do the job.
