Functions well in my 1911s. Shoots as good as standard Copper plated ammo.

I like Federal TSJ Ammo as it keeps my gun cleaner than normal ammo.

I continue to buy Federal Syntech .45cap because it is the ideal target round. It virtually leaves the barrel clean after firing 175 rounds.

I have to first state that I'm no expert and I'm also relatively new to shooting sports. My understanding is that Federal is aiming for a big following among new shooters for Syntech ammunition. I've been taken in by Federal's claims that Syntech ammunition causes less wear and results in easier cleaning. The less wear part of that being the more important factor to me. I usually make the drive to the gun range about once a month, usually with my wife in tow. Together we usually wind up shooting 300-500 rounds, with Syntech being my go-to ammunition for my 9mm and .45 ACP handguns. I'm happy with Syntech and plan to continue using it until I learn something that changes my mind. Via email, Federal told me that they are considering adding different bullet weights to the Syntech lineup, which is nice. I'm hoping they expand the lineup with different caliber ammunition as well.
