I ordered this rifle for my son so he can shoot in the buckaroo division of cowboy action. It has the perfect length of stock for a young child, the action is smooth, trigger not too heavy and honestly, I can't wait to shoot it myself. Shipped right away, great price, once again no complaints with Buds!!

I am a small older woman, so i ordered the youth model, which is a few inches shorter. I took it to the range yesterday and i've gotta say, I love it! I have a marlin 795 that i got used, (love it too) so i was kind of used to using the mags, not putting the rounds in the tube, but other than that, i love everything about it. very accurate with orig sights, once i got it adjusted. no ammo problems at all. I used cci mini mags. very light to carry also, well balanced.

Great little rifle. I bought this for my son when he was 7 and he loves it since its so easy to cycle. Turns out the rest of the family seems to love it as well, my wife, brother in law, cousins and myself tend to like shooting this little gun the best out of all the .22's. Never really had a problem out of it aside from the occasion feeding issues with rounds that have a looser projectile. Tend to get wedged in the feed ramps.

What a great little carbine! I've always wanted a lever action and after reading so many positive reviews on Henry, I took the plunge. Picked it up from my FFL this past Friday (21 December) and took it to the range on Sunday. My son and I spent the afternoon shooting it and it performed flawlessly. The action is a smooth as butter, it shoulders nicely, and the balance is just perfect. Fit and finish is outstanding. I couldn't be happier. I'm already thinking about picking up a Henry Big Boy in .357. As always, Bud's was a pleasure to deal with.

I was somewhat disappointed with Buds on this purchase. I ordered the rifle on a Tue and received the rifle on Fri. of the following week (8-9 business days). I even paid the extra to use my credit card for fast payment, should have sent a M.O. (and saved money),the delivery probably would have been the same. Then, a few days later Buds lowers the price of the rifle by $5.00, so I lost out once again! Not my day.

As for the Henry H001Y, it is a fine rifle. Really a little bigger in LOP than a traditional youth rifle. Actually just right for an retired person like myself. However, the weight listed in Buds ad AND in Henry's catalog is NOT correct. It does not weigh 4 1/2 lbs but rather 5 1/4 lbs, quite an increase for such a small rifle. But the rifle will feed any and all .22's (CB's, shorts, longs, LR, even Aguila Colibris) with no problems. And these new H001Ys from Buds have the metal front sight and barrel band rather than the former plastic. Overall a very nice rifle at a reasonable price.
