I am an admirer of the Mauser action, and CZ is, to my knowledge, the only current manufacturer to make a true micro Mauser action, and this is it. The action itself only required about 7 shots to settle down and operate perfectly, and the barrel required no break in. First shooting session was with the readily available Tula steel cased ammo, and btw, besides the the fact that the Tula fodder is very dirty, it performed better better than brass cased Federal AR 223 ammo, which was more expensive, and had 2 failures to fire-NOT the guns' fault. I do NOT recommend Federal AR 223 ammo. This gun handled the rigors of trekking through the desert, and still returned to fire flawlessly, and with fantastic accuracy. The Lux stock is simply one of the best for the rifleman on the move, and the provided sights are certainly above par for modern rifles. A few points, it is possible to reassemble the bolt backwards after stripping. If you do the gun will still fire, but it will nullify the safety. Be mindful that releasing bolt spring tension also frees the bolt handle to drop away from the bolt body. Initial cleaning and oiling should be done with a thorough eye, because the gun has been fired at the factory, but not completely cleaned or lubed, also the gun doesn't come with rings for scope mounting, but they are readily available from several manufacturers. I love this gun, and if all CZ rifles are this good, they are the best kept secret in the world of sporting rifles.
