I have gone to the range twice with this rifle since receiving it. Over 300 rounds so far and not a single malfunction. My A2 rear sight/carry handle fits perfectly the gun is a quality product. Would recommend as a basic, reliable carbine.

There are a LOT of AR manufacturers right now competing for our dollars. I have had/owned Bushmaster, Colt, Ruger and other Del Ton's over the years going back to the 90's when I was an SP in the USAF. Dollar-for-Dollar I feel the Del Ton's are a great value, as I am certain there are other great values. I have not been exposed to all obviously. Some I have had limited exposure to from friends at the range, etc. I really like all the features and overall quality. Forged receiver, excellent internals, very nice barrel in addition to the premium Magpul furniture on this model make it better than a starter rifle but not a match grade either. As all AR's they are upgradable to whatever your needs and budget dictate. It feeds anything you put through it. For me it will be my 'drag around' AR b/c I also own a Ruger take-down in 5.56 which is about double the price that I would not purposely beat-up.
