Dual-pillar bedding platform that free-floats the barrel for shot-to-shot consistency. Synthetic stock contains a high nylon fiber content. Carbon steel magnum contour precision button-rifled barrel. Fed by metal detachable box magazine with metal latch. New Cross-Fire trigger system, factory set at 3.5 pounds and user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. SuperCell recoil pad. Will accept Model 700 front bases.

Another great purchase from buds!! I already have a 783 in 30-06 from buds and I love it so much I got a 243 compact. I like the 20" barrel and something that is not advertised is the stock is adjustable from like 12 1/2 to 13 3/4 leangth of pull!! ( Unlike the Ruger American). Shoots great and I think the Remington 783 is a superior rifle when compared the the American or the Axis. Very nice rifle for the money. I highly recommend it product as an entry level high power rifle. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
