Richard, this rifle has an 18.5" non threaded barrel with a 1:12" twist rate. The front sight would need to be removed for threading. Cheers!

Richard, No the sight is too close to muzzle to thread barrel without moving the front sight.

Fantastic rifle, reload and shoot it weekly. Can’t say enough about this .223 in that I wish more manufacturers would put iron sights on the products. Planning to layaway the same 7 in .308 to shoot lead Bullets out of, very very nice carbine!!!
