This was my 1st 1911 purchase. Can't compare the gun to other high end 1911's because I've never owed any, however I don't think it would be a fair comparison. For the value this is a great gun. Fit & finish excellent, over 1000 rounds through the gun with no failures of any kind. I would recommend to anyone looking to add a .45 to the collection, or just getting into 1911's. If you already own high end 1911's, probably not for you. This is a gun I WOULD trust my life with.

As this being my first 1911 I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of this gun for the price. Being a big fan and owner of several Sig Sauer pistols my expectations were very high. This gun exceeded my expectations and shoots very well. The standard sights are dead on and accurate and a bit of an adjustment from what I am used to with the Sig sights but never the less they are perfect. I have about 500 rounds threw the gun now and not one failure to feed. The thing runs like a singer sewing machine. If you are looking for a great introductory gun into the 1911 family this is the gun for you.

I received my 45GIFX 1911 in .45 acp three weeks ago and found it to be just as advertised and reviewed. While being an LEO for over thirty years, I have never before seen a weapon and magazine hermitically sealed in in a plastic pouch full of oil. As some reviews recommended, the pistol had to be field stripped and cleaned before firing, the metal-to-metal fit is perfect. The finish is even and first rate as the grips. No problems feeding or ejecting but have only fired 230FMJ. I would recommend it to anyone who desires a GI .45.
