Great gun shoots way better than I was hoping for. Hate to admit it but it shoots better than any of my smiths. Not crazy about the red ramp site but that was an easy fix woutd buy again.

This is my second 44 mag pistol. My first was a S&W. This is bar far a better pistol, better quality, easier to disassemble. Had to send the Smith and Wesson back twice for stuck cylinder. Once you fired six rounds, it would not open.

No negatives at all with this fine Ruger pistol. Great enough to buy a second one with no complaints, totally 5 star, as it should be!

I bought this Ruger Redhawk basically cause I did not own one. You do not see the blued versions in shops much unless they are used. So when I saw this on Buds I knew it was the one to get. There are only two items about it that could be perceived as negatives. The first is that the bottom of the factory grips, which are good looking by the way, have sharp corners. I don’t think it will be a issue since my hands are not oversized and I don’t feel these corners when actually gripping the firearm. I haven’t shot it yet, so if it is an issue I may be forced to either file them slightly or replace. Secondly the single action trigger will need some work. I knew that since RedHawks use the same spring that the single action pull isn’t the best. Just a fact of the design. So eventually, through use, if it doesn’t improve I shall take it to a smith or swap a spring. Not really a big deal. I knew this about the Ruger going in. Otherwise the firearm is excellent. This Redhawk was bought for the range and to just add to my collection of .44s. The service from Buds was excellent!

Very fine looking and shooting revolver. Great trigger pull and very accurate. Like the looks of the grips, but like all the altamont grips are too narrow ar the backstrap. Used glove and was fine, but ordered a set of used redhawk wood grips which like the S&W are more substantial in that area. S&W uses altamont grips these days also. My 629 Talo made me bleed, so was on the lookout for this.

I've been wanting a Blue Redhawk for a long time and when I saw this one at Bud's low price I figured now was the time. There's just something about a blue revolver. Seems like Ruger does not always have the blue one in their line up. I've had the 7 1/2" Stainless for a lot of yrs. and it's a really great handgun. This gun looks, feels and shoots great too. It has a beautiful, smooth finish. They list it as blue but it looks almost black. I cleaned it good when I got it and had a lot of brown residue on my patches. I don't know if this is from a protectant they put on the metal or a by product of the bluing process. The grips are beautiful, dark rosewood and fit perfectly. I couldn't ask for a better 44 mag. revolver. Hats off to Ruger on this one. I thank Bud's for helping keep the prices as low as possible and for the really fast shipping to my ffl dealer.

I am very impressed with the Ruger Redhawk 5 1/2" barrel .44 Mag in blued finish. Even though I really like stainless guns there is just something about a blued revolver. The gun is built like a M1A1 Abrams tank and is phenomenal to shoot. It was dead accurate right out of the box. Just make sure to give it a good cleaning before first use. Mine had a lot of gunk and machine oil on it and in it. All in all I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Buds is the best. Shipped it to my FFL really fast.
