I had in my heart a deep desire to own a 44 magnum revolver with a scope, the hard part was determining which was best for me. Despite the less appealing look of the ruger super redhawk, I went with it because 1 it came with scope mounts didn’t sit too far forward like many others of its class. 2, the cylinder is heavier and can handle heavier loads. And 3, the reviews on accuracy were very good. Talk of 2.5 inch groups at 100 yards? Count me in. I paired this beast with a crimson trace brush line pro 2.5-8. The trigger is a bit heavy on the single action side but a simple spring kit fixes it no problem. Gun ran well at the range and I look forward to using it this modern gun season.

Amazing revolver. Out of the box, it felt like a piece of art. Very durable frame makes me feel confident it will never break. I've already shot a few boxes of ammo and the sights are on point. With the scope rings provided by Ruger, I'll be able to take it deer hunting this season. Thanks Buds Guns for their usual speedy delivery. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have waited a long time for this handgun to become available and it came up on Buds site, and i jumped at the purchase. The delivery was prompt and i was happy to receive it so quickly. The day after I got the handgun Bud had ammo on sale so I got that too.

What can i say I love this revolver. It is very well built and is a real pleasure to shoot. The weight really helps with even the strongest recoil. The Hogue grip is really helpful with the strongest of loads, even the Buffalo Bore 4D/20. This is my second Ruger revolver and I plan on adding more in the future.

Yup, it's heavy but there's that satisfaction at every shot and, of course, hardly any recoil. Double-action travel is loooong but still manageable though the single-action mode will make you happy. No fails, yet. Well-made, Ruger! It's a crowd-pleaser at the range, a keeper in your humble collection.
