The gun is really impressive. I'm glad I chose this over the Armalite because it comes with a bipod and pelican case. The Armalite does not come with those, so add an extra $500 to the price if you are trying to determine which one to purchase. It is lighter than the Armalite, and can actually be fired while standing up. I haven't shot anything long range yet, but the accuracy at 100 yards using only 647 grain bullets from Freedom Munitions @ $2 each is spot on. The muzzle blast is awesome. The pelican case is very nice. It doesn't have the soft foam that generic cases have, so you don't have to worry about ripping it as easily. It is very durable and has a solid waterproof seal. I also like it because it can barely fit in the backseat of my camaro, which the Armalite would not. You also don't have to take it apart if you want to store it in a gun safe. I have been wanting a 50 BMG for a long time now and I am glad that I finally purchased one. Other than long range competitions, the gun itself is not practical. Most people buy it for the wow factor. You will not want to hunt with this rifle unless you are shooting at something that is over 600 meters away because it will completely ruin anything that it hits. It is so powerful, that it would actually be dangerous to hunt with because the bullet seems to never want to stop. The recoil isn't terrible. It is hard to get used to the muzzle blast when you are laying down on the ground because it surprises you every time. It shoots harder than a 12 gauge. I like the bolt action because all the power is going out the end of the barrel, but the semiauto would have been nice also if I had the money. I don't have any regrets buying this. I researched it for months before purchasing it and am glad that I did. It does seem like alot of money, but you only live once. I'm sure the Armalite is a great gun also, but get this one instead because it will be much more practical and easier to handle. I recommend the Nightforce NXS 5-22X56. You can shoot anything as close as 50 meters away and still pull off a shot beyond 1,000 meters. You will not regret purchasing this cannon.

I don't really think this gun needs a review, it is jaw dropping. The people looking to buy one of these are the kinds of people that expect perfection when spending this amount of money on a firearm and those people will not be disappointed. When I received it from Bud's I had the opportunity to unbox it with my FFL. Both of us were impressed with the box, even more impressed with the Pelican waterproof case, and even MORE impressed with the firearm inside. It is flawless, comfortable to shoulder, has all the options that you would be adding to other comparable rifles.....great experience buying from Bud's, awesome rifle, 110% satisfied...thanks guys!

This rifle is great and the most fun to shoot. It always draws a crowd and I enjoy demonstrating the capabilities of the rifle. The first thing is the surprising lack of recoil, I would compare it to shooting a 12 gauge using a slug. I have had my sons (18 & 15) shoot it and although it is intimidating and the blast effect is significant, they loved to shoot this thing. I have over 100 different guns and this is by far the most fun to shoot and not even the most expensive, I pick up ball ammo from Freedom Arms for approx $3 a round. I have never had any issues at all with the rifle, and the included case is sweet, heavy duty and just plain nice. I dropped it from the liftgate of my SUV to the road while picking it up, just a little scratch and no worse for wear. Took a while to save up the bucks to buy this thing but it was worth every penny.
