This is an awesome concealed carry weapon which is why I purchased it. I love the look as well. Buds was great to deal with and if I purchase any more weapons, I will definitely use Buds again.

Buying from Buds is so easy. The transfer went smoothly and the gun arrived as advertised. I like hammer fired guns. The nock on this gun is the heavy trigger pull. If you shoot revolvers well then you will shoot this well too. Good sites. Never have malfunctions with various ammo. Breakdown isn’t the easiest but you get used to it. Great backup gun for ankle carry. You won’t find many options in this size for a hammer fired gun.

I am a fan of Sig handguns, just NOT this one. Bought 2 years ago and set in safe. Took out to range for qualification and huge issues with feeding of several different types of ammo. Not at all happy and will be sending back to Sig.

The finish is one of the most beautiful I've seen on a gun but it ultimately didn't work out for me due to the mag dropping out when I was shooting. I'm left handed and the mag release spring is soft, so the combo of the two (for me at least) led to my mag disconnecting and creating FTF's every other mag. I will say the recoil was very manageable and the gun cycled well. The gun is bulky for what it is (part of the reason the recoil is so tame) so it cannot comfortably be carried in a pocket holster (IWB would probably be fine). Also, the trigger shape leads to pinching of the finger...The solution is buying an aftermarket trigger. If you take that route, add another $75 to your price tag. Most people who review these pistols don't understand how a DAO trigger works so do your homework first. I prefer the DAO style for CCH but many people do not. I know I sound negative but I'm just trying to get the facts out there...If you're right handed, want something with a solid brand name, good looks, and have room to carry a wider, heavier pistol then this could be the one for you. I hope this helps some lefties on the fence out there.

I liked it so much, I bought another for my wife. I genuinely don't understand the comments about the trigger pull length or weight as this is not a range or target gun. The trigger issue would be relevant if this was anything other than a pocket or deep concealed gun. The trigger is a non-issue for my wife and I but we have a nice collection to choose from so maybe this is not the case for others who look at this as an all-in-one gun. Just my opinion. No regrets.

I notice in online forums and gun websites that a lot of people have negative things to say about this gun. What they fail to understand is what purpose this gun serves - this gun is for specific people looking for a specific gun, not for everyone. Yet people who don't like this gun are the ones who shouldn't/wouldn't be carrying this gun anyways, so they have bad things to say about it. That is because they are looking at this gun in the wrong way. Let me explain... This gun is very very small. It fits easily into a pocket, whether you are wearing cargo pants, shorts, or regular jeans. I have yet to find a pair of pants it won't fit in. Another thing about this gun, is it's very heavy for it's size (smaller than a .380, but weighs roughly the same as a Glock 19). The last most notable feature is the super long, super heavy trigger pull (similar to a double action revolver - each shot must be pulled all the way back, then let all the way forward to reset). The later 2 of these 3 most notable features seem to be the ones people complain about the most. But why? Because they are expecting this to be like shooting a smaller P250, or a tiny P226, or even a regular sized P938. But it's not. This gun is not made to have a comfortable, short and crisp trigger - because it's a pocket gun. This gun is not made to be super lightweight either - this is to mitigate the recoil. If you understand why it has these features, and you are looking for these specific features, you will indeed love this gun. I guarantee it. However if you are looking for a "range gun" or something to compete with your G19 at the range, this is not the gun for you. I've done a lot of research for pocket 9's and after trying a few, buying some and selling some, I settled on the Sig P290RS. I am very accurate with this pistol and have learned to "stage" the trigger/hammer before firing. I can hit small targets at 25 feet, which I find very acceptable for a pocket 9MM. If you are in the market for a pocket 9MM which is accurate, heavy to mitigate recoil, and has a long trigger pull to prevent accidental discharges, this is the gun for you. However please keep in mind as I mentioned before this is not a range gun or something you will just take out to shoot for fun. This is a specific gun with a specific purpose for specific people. The ones who hate on this gun do not fall into the category of those specific people, thus is is not for them. This gun definitely is for me though! I love it. I do not regret buying this gun at all. This is also my first Sig pistol. I am not disappointed at all and look forward to purchasing another Sig in the future.

What a beautiful, unique gun. Very tight and hard to rack slide at first. Also trigger is a little stiff at first. Smooths out and loosens up considerably after a few magazines are shot and some dry firing. Great night sights. Holster is not bad. Gun seems to keep getting smoother and smoother. Very nice. Breaking down the gun was also tough at first, but also becomes much easier.

This is a beautiful Sig pistol. As some reviewers mentioned the trigger is stiff, but I can say after owning this pistol for over a year, and shooting it regularly, the trigger gets much smoother; just dry fire it 500 times and its good. Some people complain about how this pistol breaks down, and I agree it takes some hand strength, but I have never had a problem breaking it down to clean. The construction of this pistol is top notch, and it is built like a tank; I have never had a malfunction of any kind; it is a daily carry pistol for me, and I trust that when the trigger is pulled it will go bang. It is also very accurate for such a small package, and the heft of the pistol really soaks up much of the perceived recoil. This is a solid weapon; it is a Sig. I would not hesitate to buy another!

To start with I have been shooting and owning firearms for 60 years. I am not a novice. Buds is the only place I purchase guns. I am also a fan of Sig Arms. This 9mm is like all other Sigs meaning fit and finish is superb. The accuracy at 15 yards or less is also superb. After firing 250 rounds of both fmj and Federal hp there were no failures at all. The need to pull the hammer back with the trigger is atrocious. The pull is very long and tedious. The trigger pull to fire the weapon is no less than 12 pounds. Certainly not acceptable to me. To disassemble the weapon you will need super human fingers to hold the slide to remove the slide pin. Would I purchase another p290? No, because of the reasons stated above.

Really nice gun. Very good quality and looks. Shoots well, haven't had any malfunctions of any kind. The trigger could be a little better, and took some getting use to but overall this is a really nice gun. The size is perfect for all day carry and for a Sig the price was great too.
