Traditions designed this muzzleloader to be lightweight, easy to shoot and incredibly accurate for a very modest price. It doesn t matter your experience, the Deerhunter muzzleloader will fit your needs. The 24" Octagonal performance barrels have a 1:48" rate of twist and are secured in a rugged synthetic or wood stock for excellent balance and superb handling. The Deerhunter barrels are designed to shoot full bore-sized bullets, saboted bullets and patched round balls accurately. The Williams Fiber Optic Metal sights are fully adjustable and give you pinpoint accuracy in regular and low light conditions. This model is .50 caliber and for right-handed shooters.

The Deerhunter flintlock rifle from traditions was just what I was looking for and at a good price. Have not shoot it yet but hope it will work good for my needs. Did not want to spend to much money to get in to late season flintlock season in pa.

I got the flintlock several days faster than I was expecting. It did not come with a flint, but I was expecting that. My local gun shop carries them, so it gave me an excuse to go in a browse. Took it out the next day with a couple of my friends. Fantastic! The delay in firing raised some eyebrows. My friends aren't used to that. Anyway. Great fun to shoot.
