i ordered a CVA muzzleloader and had it in my hands in less than a week. It came in perfect condition as well. It was easy to order from the website and order shipped and arrived quickly. I would definitely refer BudsGunshop.com to all!

Gun arrived in perfect condition. CVA does not install the scope mount tightly. Be sure to remove it, wipe off excess factory oil, and install it tightly with a thread locker. Also, if you bought a Blackhorn 209 breech plug, expect to really crank down hard on it to get the correct fit. Otherwise, the breech won't close or your hammer won't cock. I called CVA, thinking I had a defective breech plug, but the guy on the phone encouraged to put more elbow grease into it. He used the word "deform." In other words, you have to deform the end of the plug to seal it properly. All-in-all, the Nitride Optima is a good-looking gun and I am looking forward to dialing it in.

I wanted to try out a CVA Muzzleloader, so decided on this CVA Optima. I know a lot of people seem to have luck with CVA and they can be very accurate. Im sick of my weather shield Thompson Center Triumphs bore rusting. I take care of my guns, and that gun rusts too easily, and its disappointing for what I paid for it(didn't buy from buds). This is why I went with CVA, and In my opinion, think they are probably better in quality than T/C, and T/C quality has been down since S&W bought them out.. The Optima is stainless plus nitrided, so I highly doubt there will be rusting issues, as its protected inside and out. I frequent BudsGunShop.com all the time, and check prices, and their pricing was hard to pass up. Thanks Buds Guns for the good pricing. I have no doubt that it will be a shooter, just need to figure out a scope for it.
