The Optima V2 was modeled after CVA's top-of-the-line ACCURA V2, the Optima V2 features the same trigger-guard actuated breeching lever, internal parts, and neutral center-of-gravity trigger. Add in CVA s Quick Release Breech Plug (which is finger removable without any tool what-so-ever), 100% ambidextrous stock, and CrushZone recoil pad, and you ve got a gun with more quality features than any other muzzleloading rifle in its price range. Equipped with a 26" 416 grade stainless steel fluted barrel, the Optima V2 is easy to maneuver in the tree stand and comfortable to carry in the mountains. And it comes standard with a DuraSight Dead-On one-piece scope mount and CVA s solid aluminum PalmSaver Ramrod. It also features an Ambidextrous Thumbhole, QRBP - Quick Release Breech Plug, and Reversible Hammer Spur.

very happy with the product so far but I haven't shot it yet. If it performs I will give it a A+ for how well I feel it's built.

Wow, very accurate and super easy to clean. The removable (by hand) breech plug is nice but make sure to get the Black Horn breech plug if you plan on shooting loose powder. I had several hang fires with the standard breech plug with loose powder (I believe they are designed for powder pellets) but bought the Black Horn version and it was a night and day difference. The firing pin is so easy to clean quickly also. Great value and accuracy out of the box.

Awesome! Rifle was delivered well packed, perfect condition. Put on the scope and off to the range. With no adjustments, pattern was within 1.5" of POA at 50 yds. https://postimg.org/image/uwtf3vfa1/ Very Happy! Can't wait for deer season.

You can't beat Buds price anywhere for this gun. Got the gun and sighted it in with 100gr Triple Seven powder and a 250gr Hornady SST and shooting 1in groups at a 100 yards. You can't beat the performance for this price. And it only took 5 days to receive it from Buds. Will be purchasing from them again soon.
